Available Live Fish

Available Live Fish

We have a few fish species and strains available. All our fish are home bred in our aquariums and carefully monitored and feed a high protein diet so that they have the most colorful, big and strong bodies.

They are usually available in pairs or small groups unless stated otherwise. We breed them in the most natural way as possible, creating a setup with live plants in an aquarium that is at least 8 months old with a mature filter and a good bio load of microscopic organisms created by the rotting of leaves or by the establishment of the plants (mosses are great fry savers as they can hide in them and feed on infusoria as first foods).

Here is a list of the current species or strains we have available and any update on the ones we may have in the future or are currently breeding.

Sadly we do not carry these fish anymore though plan to bring them back in the future.

Lime Green Endler Guppies

These are a great strain if you want to start with Endlers. They are very prolific and active little fish. They are breed in an aquarium which is 6 years old and has a large portion of aquatic plants for the fry to feel safe and have first foods (infusoria). They do not eat their young and can be kept together in the same tank. We feed them high quality Fluval Flake food with supplements of Brine shrimp and occasional treats of bloodworms. These get the females ready to breed and give the males nice and vivid coloration. We sell them as:

1 pair: $10
2 pairs: $15

Tiger Endlers

These Endlers really are exquisite in color and pattern. They grow the same size as fancy guppies. They do not eat their young as well although I have found them to be less prolific than the Lime Green Endlers. Truly an awesome Endler guppy, they are fed the same high quality diet as the Lime Green Endlers (Fluval Flake food with supplements of Brine shrimp and occasional treats of bloodworms). We sell them as:

1 pair: $15

Puerto Rican Wild type Guppies

Awesome little guppies, they range from orange to metallic blue to purple and black coloration. These are F2 and above offspring so they are already acclimated to aquarium life and not removed from the wild. Pure strains and kept separate depending on location which varies their color and size. Feed the same high quality diet as all our other fish, these guppies stay a bit smaller than Endlers but some one location actually grow as big as juvenile swordtails. They do not eat their fry and are great for establishing colonies. They are kept in a barren low planted tanks simulating their natural environment of rocky pebble river with a small/medium current but can be established in a densely planted tank with small current but do not put excessive current or you will fatigue them and not have them in optimal conditions. We sell them as:

2 pairs: $14

Red velvet Swordtails

Great and active little guys, these swordtails have a striking red/orange coloration with their lineage containing the potential of a koi strain as well. They are kept in a large 55gal planted tank feed a high protein diet and live Daphnia. These are great additions to any tank and bring vivid color to contrast the green of a planted aquaria. We sell them as:

1 pair: $8
Trio: $12
Group of six: $18

They are currently unavailable.

Lyre tail Snakeskin Guppies

Super active guys, females have black tails and greyish bodies while the males have the black snakeskin pattern with metallic blues and greens as well as orange, white or yellow colors on their tails. They are being fed a steady diet of brine shrimp and high quality flake food. We sell them at:
